PJ Opens Two-Day ECCMIS Training for New or Recently Deployed Judges in Cluster One and Two Courts

November27, 2023: The Principal Judge, Hon. Justice Dr Flavian Zeija, opened a two-day Electronic Court Case Management Information System (ECCMIS) training for new or recently deployed Judges in Cluster one and two courts at the Judicial Training Institute, Nakawa.
The Principal Judge commended the Judges for prioritizing the training. "Your presence here is a testimony of your desire to embrace Judiciary's exciting journey of enhancing digital skills for all its Staff by equipping them with practical skills on how to use the ECCMIS," he said.
He went on to highlight the key objectives and expected outcomes from the training which are; familiarization with the ECCMIS, efficiency enhancement, real-time reporting, integration and collaboration.
Hon. Justice Dr Zeija noted that the role of Judges in the implementation of ECCMIS was pivotal. "Your expertise, dedication, and adaptability are essential for the successful implementation of this ECCMIS system," he said.
"ECCMIS has not been without challenges, just like all systems. Therefore, as we move forward, your feedback and insights is invaluable in refining and optimizing the System to best suit all our needs and those of our court users and stakeholders," the Principal Judge said.
Hon. Justice Dr Zeija also participated in the training.
The Chairperson of the ECCMIS Technical Committee, Hon. Lady Justice Immaculate Busingye, was on hand, with a team of technical officers, to guide the Judges on how to interact with the System.
The Head of ICT, Mr David Sunday Kikabi, took the Judges through the introduction of ECCMIS. While the Principal Information Maintenance Officer and also ECCMIS Project Manager, Mr Joseph Ssinabulya led them through a demonstration of ECCMIS.
In attendance; the JTI Executive Director, Hon. Lady Justice Damalie N Lwanga; ECCMIS Project Manager, Ms Julian Rweju, among others.
The workshop is being moderated by HW Faisal Mulalira, Deputy Registrar, JTI.
